August 29, 2008 Because of a combination of lack of substantial activity and the daily chore of blocking spam, I have closed the general discussion forums on the site. Adam Alante, who fashions authentic reproductions of weapons, has prepared an essay on the subject of African weapons. His title is, My Studies: A Proper Understanding of African Cultural Weapons. There are many issues of which I was unaware, and I think others will find it as interesting and enlightening as I do. There is a discussion forum associated with the essay, linked here for convenience. We offer new essays periodically, and all of these will be archived. Whether you participate actively or as an observer, I hope you find things here that interest you. Anyone who would like to prepare a brief essay is invited to send it to Steve Price. I will set it up as a web page and create a discussion forum for it. There are three people involved in setting policy for this site. Please feel free to contact any of us if you have questions, comments or suggestions for improving it. The archived material that was on Afro-Dit has been transferred to this site, as were discussions active at the time of the transition.
