March 28, 2008 Collectors of tribal arts have common interests and benefit from mutual interaction, regardless of their specializations. This is a place for novice and advanced collectors of tribal art to connect, engaging in mutual education by asking questions and sharing their knowledge on the Discussion Boards. Herbert Roese has prepared an essay for our consideration and discussion. In it, he presents two somewhat puzzling pieces from Ghana. His title is, Two Unusual Wood Sculptures from Ghana. We offer new essays for discussion periodically, and all of these will be archived. Other discussion topics will be archived if they seem likely to be of lasting value. Please participate. Whether you do so actively or as an observer, I hope you find things here that interest you. Anyone who would like to prepare a brief essay for discussion is invited to send it to Steve Price. I will set it up as a web page and create a discussion forum for it. There are three people involved in setting policy for this site. Please feel free to contact any of us if you have questions, comments or suggestions for improving it. Steve Price Steve Brothers David Zemanek Tribal Art Forum is an outgrowth of the former Afro-Dit, which was devoted to tribal arts of Africa. The archived material that was on Afro-Dit has been transferred to this site, as were discussions active at the time of the transition.
